Welcome to the latest NOVASTARTALK Wiki!

This Wiki contains:
  • A rationale for the use of technology in the FL classroom
  • Links to ready-made materials for FLES, MS and HS FL classes
  • Links to free online resources for the creation of classroom materials
  • A webliography containing additional resources for FL teachers
  • Links to the wikis of FL Teachers who use technology in their teaching

Why do we do this workshop on wikis, blogs and tech tools? It is because our students are learning in lots of new ways and they are sharing what they learn in networks:

The Networked Student

The Networked Student was inspired by CCK08, a Connectivism course offered by George Siemens and Stephen Downes . (I actually "attended" this online class/event of about 2200 students.) during fall 2008 . The Networked Student depicts an actual project completed by Wendy Drexler's high school students.

The Networked Student concept map was inspired by Alec Couros' Networked Teacher.
